Awards Night

Matthew Hendricks was the award winner for Residential Wiring at the CCHS Awards Night on April 25th.

Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational skills to prepare students for post-secondary education and the workforce. Camden County High School students are fortunate to choose from 15 outstanding CTAE programs and over 30 CTAE pathways.

Over 60 CTAE students received awards for their outstanding success in the classroom, on national certification tests, at regional-state-national competitions, for dual enrollment through Coastal Pines Technical College, and for the Work-Based Learning/Youth Apprenticeship Programs.

In the news

Congratulations to the Camden Robotics Team for a successful district Event at the 1st Robotics Dalton District Event.  Though Camden struggled early on in Friday’s matches, by Saturday, they were one win shy of the finals.  As the day played out, Camden won a semifinals match, lost one, and had to play a tie-breaker match which was lost.  Camden proudly took home the Industrial Safety Award, sponsored by Underwriters Lab!  Next stop Albany event!

CCHS Masonry team wins first place

On February 23rd, Camden High School sent a team of 5 masons and 2 mud tenders to compete in Florida Masonry Showcase. After 12 years of trying to be first winner, Camden won first place team with a average team score of 824 out of 1000. The top score was earned by Ryan Earley who had a score of 945 out of 1000 and second place belong to Jakeb Eason with the a score of 901. All of the masons who place at this contest usually go on to win the State of Georgia and Florida in SkillsUSA Contest.

The team will be going to Albany next week!
