Maintenance Personnel
The purpose of the maintenance department is to provide safe, clean and well-maintained facilities and grounds in the school system. A safe, clean and well-maintained facility provides the best atmosphere for instruction to take place. The maintenance department includes
centralized personnel who assist school personnel with many tasks, which may include
  • mowing, trimming and basic upkeep of school system grounds;
  • helping with landscaping of new facilities;
  • providing normal maintenance tasks to keep facilities in working order;
  • providing repair services when systems fail or when items need repair;
  • providing contracted service personnel for repair of specialized systems within facilities;
  • providing installation services with furniture, shelving and other items in new and existing facilities;
  • providing services in the opening of new facilities;
  • providing relocation services when programs change from one facility to another;
  • providing the school system mail and delivery service; and
  • providing help in maintaining parking lots at schools.
