Camden County Schools will apply for the 21st Century Grant. Through a coordination of efforts Camden Middle School will provide support to students in need. The purpose is to deliver supplemental academic support, social emotional wellness skills support, and drug prevention awareness to students and parents. The program will be made available to students at Camden Middle School with the priority given to those demonstrating the highest risk of failing in 6th through 8th grades and those demonstrating a need for support to eliminate drug use.
The program will include:
- Homework help,
- Intensive remediation on content standards,
- Drug use awareness for students and parents,
- Social emotional management

On Saturday January 20th, Camden Middle School Lego Robotics team AREA-53 competed at the Super-Regional Competition at STARBASE Warner Robins. Facing 23 other teams, they brought home the overall Robot Design Trophy to match their award earned in the same category from the Savannah Regional, and are advancing to the State Competition hosted at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. This is the first time that a Lego Robotics team from Camden Middle School has made it to STATE!!
