Wellness Policy

Wellness Policy

Wellness Philosophy
Camden County Schools believes all students should possess the knowledge and skills necessary to make nutritious food and physical activity choices for a lifetime. We believe healthy children will have greater academic success and lifelong health. We also believe healthy staff can more effectively perform their assigned duties and model appropriate wellness behaviors for their students. This regulation encourages and promotes a coordinated effort that involves school staff, students, parents, and community members.

Wellness Resources

Our District has developed a Wellness Policy that is focused on improving the health of students. The policy was developed by the health and wellness advisory council that includes teachers, parents, administrators, and the district nurse.

Key Areas of our Wellness Policy

Balance is essential for any Wellness Policy. Key areas include:

  • Nutrition Education
  • Physical activity
  • Other school-based activities that are designed to promote student wellness.
