Mary Lee Clark Elementary School

Dr. McCollough, a fourth grade English/Language Arts teacher at Mary Lee Clark Elementary, was selected as the 2017 Camden County Schools Teacher of the Year. Dr. McCollough is a graduate of Camden County Schools. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University and earned her doctorate degree from the University of North Florida. Dr. McCollough will represent Camden County at the 2018 Georgia Teacher of the Year competition in Atlanta this spring.

TEACHER OF THE YEAR CRITERIA

 Each Camden County School Teacher of the Year, selected by their peers, must be:

an exceptional, dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled teacher who is planning to continue in active teaching status;
a teacher who has inspired students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn;
 a teacher who has the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues;
 a teacher who plays an active and useful role in the community as well as in the school; and
 a teacher who is poised and articulate and possesses the energy to withstand a taxing schedule.
The Camden County Teacher of the Year serves the district for one fiscal year and competes for the Georgia Teacher of the Year, who serves the following fiscal year.
