DECA Students Advance to State
On December 7, Camden County DECA competed at the DECA Region 3 Career Development Conference at Woodville-Thompkins Career Academy in Savannah, GA. Over 100 students from eight high schools competed for the opportunity to advance to the State competition in Atlanta on February 14-16. After competition, the students enjoyed the motivational and inspirational message from Ben Troupe, former NFL player and co-host of ESPN Coastal’s Flagship Program “Three and Out”.

DECA Heads to State

On January 10, 2019 the following students will take a 100 question qualification test on Marketing, Hospitality, Business, or Finance fundamentals to compete at State: Faryn Parker - 1st place Accounting Applications, Loren James - 1st place Hotel and Lodging Management, Christopher Cook - 2nd place Human Resources Management, Colby Lombard - 3rd place Marketing Communications, Jasmine Schultz - 2nd place Principles of Business Management and Administration, Mekhia Hollinshed - 2nd place Principles of Finance, Ty'liejah Holzendorf - 3rd place Principles of Finance, Aidan McLinn - 1st place Personal Financial Literacy, Ariyanna Tayler - 4th place Principles of Hospitality and Tourism, Luke Wyatt - 1st place Principles of Marketing, Kaylee Floyd - 1st place Quick Service Restaurant Management, Joshua White - 2nd place Retail Merchandising, and Elijah Johnson - 3rd place Retail Merchandising.
