Valerie Brumbelow Joins UGA Board

Valerie Brumbelow, Head of the CCHS Guidance Department was recently honored to be asked to serve on the 2019 University of Georgia High School Advisory Board. Mrs. Brumbelow spent the past weekend in Athens working with 21 counselors and administrators from across the United States (some as far away as California) who also serve as members of this Board.

The purpose of the Advisory Board is to help give feedback and work on strategic planning for UGA admissions. The board will meet twice a year to brainstorm new ideas and to help improve the admissions process for those applying to the University of Georgia.

This nomination to the Board speaks extremely highly of, not only Mrs. Brumbelow and her Guidance Department, but also CCHS as a whole. Admission to the University of Georgia is getting more difficult every year and it speaks volumes that they believe Mrs. Brumbelow will be able to help them in improving this process for incoming students from Camden and around the world!
