History Comes to Life for DLR Students

History Comes to Life for DLR Students
History recently came to life for some David L. Rainer Elementary students. Recently, DLR's 3rd graders went to Ft. King George in Darien. While at the fort, students were able to experience what life would've been like living in Colonial era Georgia. They were able to visit with soldiers, doctors, blacksmiths, and other period characters.

Students also were able to watch musket balls being made, as well as experience the BOOM of a cannon being shot from the fort. What an amazing way to make history real for our students!
