MHES Raises "Coins for Klawuhn"

MHES Raises "Coins for Klawuhn"

The Matilda Harris Jaguars have hearts as BIG as the Moon! When one of their beloved teachers, Mrs. Randa Klawuhn, needed a help from her little friends during her battle with cancer, the students, staff, and parents of MHES organized "Coins for Klawuhn", a change drive.

Dr. Heron, MHES Principal, challenged the students that if they raised $2000, he would shave off his trademark beard in front of the school. The MHES Jaguars not only reached their goal but doubled their donations and have raised almost $4000 (and still counting) to help Mrs. Klawuhn and her family. The class that raised the most money were the Kindergarten kids from Mrs. Majchrowicz's class who raised $273.14.

Bert Brown from Who'z Next Barbershop in St. Marys generously donated his services and today, Dr. Heron got a fresh, clean shave and students got a wonderful visit from Mrs. Klawuhn!
