Kaylan Vanderburg, a 2nd grader from Matilda Harris Elementary, won Show and Tell (like forever) when she brought her grandpa, Mike Bostic, and his hawk, Abita, to show her fellow 2nd graders. Students were amazed as Mr. Bostic, an experienced falconer, shared information about hawks and other raptors and the history of falconry.
Students loved to see Abita fly on command and were amazed by how soft her feathers were to touch. We thank Mr. Bostic and Abita for visiting the MHES Jaguars and we think Kaylan wins all Show and Tells from now on!
