Middle School Agriculture Classes Debut

Our new middle school agriculture classes and Future Farmers of America (FFA) clubs are already having a huge impact on our students. Students from both Camden and St. Marys Middle School participated in two exciting events last week.

One group of students and their teachers, Mr. Jason Smith (SMMS) and Mrs. Karyn Chester (CMS), took part in a flower arranging workshop to learn about how to create decorative arrangements.

The other group of 14 students and their rabbits competed in the North Florida Rabbit and Cavy Breeders Show at Green Cove Springs on Saturday. Four students won ribbons for Best in show and Best Opposite Sex.

Students are learning a great deal in their new classes and are able to explore career paths at the FFA workshops and competitions available throughout the year.
