WES Gets a Little Help from Their Friends
Sailors from the Trident Training facility (TTF) reported to Woodbine Elementary School on the Friday morning before the beginning of school on a different type of mission. They volunteered to help assist custodians, administrators, and teacher volunteers finish preparing the school for students.

Over 15 sailors tackled a variety of tasks including touch-up painting, replacing ceiling tiles, moving classroom items for teachers and assembling new desks.

CMC Justin Mitchell and teacher Cheryl Aston have coordinated several projects since TTF adopted WES last year. Principal, Maura Fegel, praised the Partners in Education Program, “The support, enthusiasm, and dependability of our Kings Bay Naval Base partners provide an invaluable support to our system. “

Woodbine Elementary School has been adopted by two commands from KBNB, Trident Training Facility and the U.S.S. Maryland.

This year is already off to an awesome start and we can't thank our military partners enough for their dedication to our students and schools.
