Request for Bid: Sign Language Interpreter

Camden County Schools is accepting proposals for a Sign Language Interpreter to interpret in sign language all activities in the classroom and other activities throughout the school day. Proposals will be accepted for Sign Language Interpreter services from individuals or agencies whose standing and reputation are above reproach. A proposal will be selected from an individual or an agency with an office within a 60 mile radius of the Camden County Schools Administrative Office. The per hour/project bid cost must include student observations with written reports, telephone calls/email correspondence, travel between schools, parent/teacher conferences as well as paperwork review. This bid must also include services to Camden County Schools to best accommodate the students' schedule whenever possible. The bid proposal should not exceed two pages in length.  The agency must provide the resumes of the existing staff ready for placement for the designated effective date. Individuals or staff must have a bachelor's degree or higher and EIPA credential with a score of 3.5 or higher within five (5) years preceding the date of application or hold a valid Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf certification or such alternatives to the qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Additionally, the board of education accepts the right to reject any bid proposals as deemed appropriate. 

Please submit sealed bids to the attention of Dr. William C. Hardin, Superintendent of Schools no later than 4:30 P.M. on December 13, 2017. 

      *All bids should be labeled on the outside of a sealed envelope as "Sign Language Interpreter Bid".
      *Bids will be opened at 8:30 A.M. on December 14, 2017 at the Central Office in room 132.






Sealed proposals for (CM) Construction Managers for the renovations of Mary Lee Clark Elementary School, Camden Middle School and Coastal Academy will be received by the Camden County Board of Education (Owner), at the office of the Camden County Board of Education, 311 S. East Street, Kingsland, Georgia, 31548 until 1:00p.m., prevailing time on December 8, 2017.

The Camden County Board of Education proposes to select the most Qualified Management Firm (CM) to enter into a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract for the construction for the above referenced project.

The procedures for contracts as established by the Georgia Local Government Public Works Construction Law, O.C.G.A., 36-91-1 shall be followed.

A package with requirements for CM AT Risk proposals may be obtained with a written request via U.S. Mail at the office of James W. Buckley and Associates, Inc. : 7 East Congress Street, Suite 800, Savannah, Georgia 31401, Attn: Erich Tolksdorf or by email to ebt@jwbuckley.com. Written requests shall be on company letterhead and include firm name, principal (owner), phone and fax numbers, and mailing address with project name, dated and signed.

The owner reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals and to waive technicalities and informalities. Oral, fax or email responses will not be acceptable.
