Proposals for new SCHOOL BUSES will be received by the Camden County Board of Education until 1:00 p.m. EST Friday,
August 29, 2022. The school bus body and chassis construction shall be in accordance with the most current approved
specifications of the Georgia State Board of Education.

Envelopes containing proposals should so indicate on the outside of
same and should be mailed by “special delivery” or hand delivered, as well as emailed to [email protected].

There is no commitment to purchase a specific number of buses; budgetary constraints will dictate the number purchased. Bids should be submitted to the Camden County Schools at 311 S. East Street, Kingsland, GA 31548. Proposals not received by 1:00 p.m.
EST Friday, August 29, 2022, will be disqualified. Buses will be purchased using state bond funds, ESPLOST funds, and Local Gen funds.

The superintendent or designee reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and informalities.

Request for Proposals – Camden County High School Auditorium House Lights

Camden County Schools is seeking proposals for upgrades to the house lights in the Camden County High School Auditorium.  There are approximately 34 fixtures that need removed and replaced with a more up to date LED fixture that will work with the current dimming system.

Proposals are being accepted by Camden County Schools beginning Tuesday, July 26, 2022, until Wednesday August 10, 2022, at 9:00 am eastern time.  Proposals received after this date and time will not be considered.

Proposals must include the following to be considered:

  • Proposals must be dated between July 26, 2022 and August 10, 2022.
  • Fixture information
  • Warranty information (product and construction/contractor)
  • Timeline for the project (supply availability, etc.)
  • Company will provide auditorium lift for the project

INVITATION TO BID- 2022-07

Project: Camden County Middle School (CMS) is replacing the existing serving lines.


Project Location: Camden Middle School – 1300 Middle School Rd, Kingsland, GA 31548


Bids will be opened on May 3, 2022 received by Camden County Board of Education until 10:00 
a.m. prevailing time on Monday, June 6th, 2022, for the project listed above. There will be no public bid opening and awards will not be made on this date. Bids will be reviewed, and bidders notified when award is made. Winning bid will be presented to the CCBOE for approval at the June 14th regular board meeting. You will be notified on the June 15th. All projects may commence as soon as possible after bid is awarded and must be completed by October 25, 2022.

The contractor shall be responsible for contracting Mrs. Flannery before visiting the job site and familiarizing themselves with the job and working conditions. The building will be available Monday to Friday for work commencing after the award of bid and must work around cafeteria hours and planned with Mrs. Flannery. Working hours shall be coordinated with the staff. There will be no walk through prior to bid opening.
All work during installation is subject to inspection by the owner or a designated representative.

Any questions concerning these specifications should be clarified prior to commencing the job. Any 
changes to these specifications would require written approval of the owner.
References should be included and may be used to assist in awarding the projects. Consideration will be given for past performance with CCS and local / GA vendors.

The per hour bid cost must include the time of therapy sessions, paperwork time, telephone calls, travel between schools, and parent/teacher conferences. This bid must also include services to be available Monday through Friday with hours set to best accommodate the student’s academic schedule whenever possible. This bid must also include services to Camden County Schools to best accommodate the students' schedule whenever possible. Staff available to deliver services on site is preferred.

The per hour/project bid cost must include student observations with written reports, evaluations, protocol scoring and review, telephone calls/email correspondence, travel between schools, parent/teacher conferences as well as paperwork review. This bid must also include services to Camden County Schools to best accommodate the students' schedule whenever possible. The bid proposal should not exceed two pages in length.  The agency must provide the resumes of the existing staff ready for placement for the designated effective date. Individuals or staff must hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in SP ED Visual Impairment (P-12) Consultative and SP ED General Curriculum with Special Education Academic Area Concentrations or be eligible for certification.  The individual or staff must also be certified in Orientation and Mobility or such alternatives to the qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Current air handler will be removed requiring an indoor lift.  A Crane will be needed for placement of new air handler on the roof.  Proposals must include the price of the lift and the price of the crane.

Proposals will be accepted for school psychological services from individuals or agencies whose reputation and standing are above reproach. A proposal will be selected from an individual or an agency with an office within a 60 mile radius of the Camden County Schools Administrative Office. The per hour/project bid cost must include comprehensive psychological evaluations, protocol scoring and review, written reports to include psychological reports and eligibility reports, telephone calls/email correspondence, travel between schools, eligibility and placement meetings, and trainings as necessary.  All services provided are subject to minimum quality standards and review as determined by the director of special education or designee. This bid must also include services to Camden County Schools to best accommodate the students' schedule whenever possible.

The bid proposal should not exceed two pages in length.  The agency must provide the resumes of the existing staff ready for placement for the designated effective date. Individuals or staff must hold a Professional certificate in the field of school psychology from the Georgia Special Standards Commission at the specialist degree level - level (6) or higher or be under supervision of a holder of this certification.

FORCONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AT RISK SERVICES

Sealed proposals for (CM) Construction Managers for the Matilda Harris Elementary Classroom Wing Addition, Sugarmill Elementary Renovations, Modifications and Classroom Wing Addition, CTAE Annex, Camden County High School Ninth Grade Center HVAC Modifications, David L. Rainer Elementary HVAC Modifications, Camden County High School Practice Facility, and various other projects will be received by the Camden County Board of Education (Owner), at the office of the Camden County Board of Education, 311 South East Street, Kingsland , Georgia, 31548 until 1:00 p.m., prevailing time on May 17, 2021.

The Camden County Board of Education plans to select the most qualified Construction Management Firm (CM) to enter into a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract for the construction for the above referenced projects.

The procedures for contracts as established by the Georgia Local Government Public Works Construction Law, O.C.G.A., 36-91-1 shall be followed.

A package with requirements for CM At Risk proposals may be obtained with a written request via U.S. Mail at the office of James W. At the time and place listed above proposals will be reviewed between the Owner, Architect, and Contractor. All bids are to be submitted on the bid form provided according to the Instructions to Bidders, to be issued by addendum.

A prebid meeting will be held at Woodbine Elementary School, 495 Broadwood Dr, Woodbine, GA 31569 on April 6, 2021 at 9:30AM EST.

All RFI’s shall be emailed to the Construction Manager. The subject line shall reference “WBES RFI” the body of the RFI shall include the plan sheet and/or specification reference, contractor name and contact information. Substitution request forms can be found in section 012500 of the specifications.

Contractor and all subcontractors are required to have registered and be authorized to use Federal Work Authorization Program “Employment Eligibility Verification (EEV)” in accordance with Georgia law O.C.G.A. § 13-10-91 “Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act of 2011”.

Plans, Specifications and Addenda will be available at no cost at www.popeconstructionco.com , subcontractor registration is required prior to accessing plans. Camden County Schools is accepting proposals for orthopedic impairment services for the 2021-2022 school year. Proposals will be accepted for orthopedic impairment services from individuals or agencies whose reputation and standing are above reproach. A proposal will be selected from an individual or an agency with an office within a 120 mile radius of the Camden County Schools Administrative Office. The per hour/project bid cost must include assessments, protocol scoring and review, written reports, telephone calls/email correspondence, travel between schools, parent/teacher conferences, as well as annual review, eligibility and placement meetings.  All services provided are subject to minimum quality standards and review as determined by the director of special education or designee. This bid must also include services to Camden County Schools to best accommodate the students' schedule whenever possible.

 

The bid proposal should not exceed two pages in length.  The agency must provide the resumes of the existing staff ready for placement for the designated effective date. Individuals or staff must hold a Certificate in SP ED PHYSICAL & HEALTH DISABILITIES (P-12) as issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

 

Additionally, the board of education accepts the right to reject any bid proposals as deemed appropriate.

Camden County Schools (Owner) is gathering quotes/proposals for the below athletic fields maintenance project.  Please send your pricing as a per field price.

The contract will begin July 17, 2021 and run through June 30, 2022.  During the off-season months, the service may be adjusted to an as needed basis. 

 

 

Maintain football fields (4 fields):  lawn maintenance and paint yardage lines on a weekly schedule.  Owner to supply the paint equipment and paint:

  • Camden High:  Main Football Practice Field (mow and paint)
  • Camden High:Football practice Field inside track (mow and paint)
  • Camden Middle:  Football field (mow and paint)
  • Saint Marys Middle: Football field (mow and paint)

 

Note:  the two middle school fields will not be serviced during turf project and will change to artificial turf maintenance when the new turf project is completed.  The project is expected to begin at the end of the 2021 football playing season. 

 

Maintain baseball and softball fields on a weekly schedule:

  • Camden Middle:  Baseball field (mow)
  • Camden Middle:Softball field (mow)
  • Saint Marys Middle:Baseball field (mow)
  • Saint Marys Middle:Softball field (mow)

Proposals will be accepted for Visually Impaired services from individuals or agencies whose standing and reputation are above reproach. A proposal will be selected from an individual or an agency with an office within a 60 mile radius of the Camden County Schools Administrative Office. The per hour/project bid cost must include student observations with written reports, evaluations, protocol scoring and review, telephone calls/email correspondence, travel between schools, parent/teacher conferences as well as paperwork review. This bid must also include services to Camden County Schools to best accommodate the students' schedule whenever possible. The bid proposal should not exceed two pages in length.  The agency must provide the resumes of the existing staff ready for placement for the designated effective date. Individuals or staff must hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in SP ED Visual Impairment (P-12) Consultative and SP ED General Curriculum with Special Education Academic Area Concentrations or be eligible for certification.  The individual or staff must also be certified in Orientation and Mobility or such alternatives to the qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
