DRESS FOR SUCCESS - SMMS DRESS CODE

Please make sure your child is dressed for success at SMMS. 
Here are a few reminders.

  • No inappropriate insignias, emblems, badges, bandanas, or other clothing/symbols which may cause the interruption of instruction.
  • Hoodies-please keep hood down inside the building.
  • Any rips or holes in jeans should be at the knee or lower.  Leggings may be worn under ripped jeans.
  • Crop tops-Midriff (stomach area) should not be seen.
  • No Short Shorts/Short Skirts/Short, Fitted Dresses/Pajama Pants or Blankets

WELCOME TO ST. MARYS MIDDLE SCHOOL

Home of the Bobcats and one the earliest Georgia STEM Certified Middle Schools (2018), St. Marys Middle School is known for our exemplar history of academics, extracurricular programs and community involvement.  With an average enrollment of 1100 6th -8th grade students, SMMS uses project based learning and hands on experiences to fully prepare our students to be capable, productive citizens.

SMMS will ensure educational excellence in a safe and nurturing environment to prepare students for success in rigorous high school courses and ultimately, for graduation, transition to college, technical training or the workplace in order to become lifelong learners and productive citizens.

Vaccination Info

Important Notice for Parents/Guardians of Rising 7th Grade Students

All students born on or after January 1, 2002 and entering or transferring into 7th grade need proof of an adolescent pertussis (whooping cough) booster immunization (called “Tdap”). Proof of Tdap immunization must be documented on the Georgia immunization certificate (Form 3231).

St. Marys Middle School uses Math and Literacy Design Collaborative and Problem Based Learning to support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) components in all curriculum areas.

The purpose of the FY24 CLIP Presentation is to inform parents and community members of the federal programs implemented in Camden County Schools. Each year, the Georgia Department of Education allocates funds to Camden County Schools to support the needs of students.
