Teacher Signing Day

Camden County High School hosted its 2026 Teacher Signing Day on Tuesday, May 5, celebrating a group of graduating Wildcats who have made the meaningful decision to dedicate their futures to the field of education.

The 2026 Teacher Signing Day participants include Raenna Antley, Harleigh Batten, Madison Ferguson, Taylor Marek, Lexie Paine, Ashley Pattison, Whitney Ross, Kariah Stephens, Craig Theus, Jamie Walker, Mason Waller, and Jazmyn Wade.

The ceremony reflected a shared understanding that teaching is not simply a profession, but a calling rooted in service, connection, and the ability to shape future generations.

As each signee stood before family members, teachers, and mentors to formally commit to the profession of education, many spoke about the educators who changed the trajectory of their lives. Their stories were filled with gratitude as students named the educators who shaped them, many reaching back to early school years, crediting those relationships with setting them on this path.

The pride in the room was undeniable. Applause followed each name, but so did quiet moments of reflection — parents watching their children step into adulthood, educators seeing the lasting influence of their work reflected in the students before them, and students realizing the full weight and beauty of the path they have chosen.

For many in attendance, there was also a quiet hope that one day these future educators may return to the very schools and communities that first inspired them, a sentiment Superintendent Dr. Tracolya Green made unmistakably clear as she warmly declared to the signees, “You’re hired!”

Camden County High School's Teacher Signing Day was a reminder that the impact of a teacher does not end in the classroom, it continues in every student who chooses to become one.
