Camden County Schools utilizes weapon detection systems on the middle and high school campuses to screen students and visitors as they enter the building. The detectors are capable of detecting a wide range of metallic items, including knives and firearms, ensuring prohibited items do not make their way into our schools.

A Walkthrough: OpenGate Weapons Detection Systems at Campuses
Beginning on the first day of second semester of the 2025-2026 School Year, students and visitors to Camden County High School, Camden Middle School, and St. Marys Middle School campuses will be using the Opengate Weapons Detection System at main points of entry.
