David L. Rainer Elementary is now glowing bright through their student’s new school year smiles, and through its new renovation.

Over the summer, David L. Rainer Elementary had been completely renovated. Going from carpet to tile, building an entirely new roof, installing a new AC unit, adding larger windows, incorporating school pride accents, and more, David L. Rainer Elementary is now a place that students and staff can feel truly at home and motivated.

“I mean, when you come in, it just brightens your mood. It really does. Just having all the new lighting, different AC units, and seeing our logos everywhere just brings pride in it. It gives everybody a sense of home when they come in, which, when you’re motivated, that is how you will be successful.” – Corey Wilson, David L. Rainer Elementary School Principal.

Motivation, health, and success are some of the key points that staff feel have truly been an outcome since the renovation. The new glow from the abundance of natural lighting to the school’s tiger pride from head to toe, and the gain of a variety of new resources, teachers and staff feel stronger than ever. Even the nutrition department has gotten their own upgrades that changes the game for the student’s lunches.

“For our staff in the nutrition department, we got a new cooler and freezer, and it really helps because our other one kept breaking down. Having a nice cold freezer and cold cooler helps to maintain the freshness of our food.” – Ms. Chennelle Brown, cafeteria worker at David L. Rainer Elementary School.

Coolers and freezers were not the only thing replaced at David L. Rainer Elementary. The AC unit had a major upgrade, and this change truly made an impact for overall health and well-being at the school.

“Personally, I can tell you last year I was sick a lot, and with the renovations, that’s something that’s looked up. We have a different air system now in our school, so we are getting fresh air, which is awesome for not just the students, but the teachers, as well as the staff.” – Mrs. Shannon Cassel, 4th grade teacher at David L. Rainer Elementary School.

We are so thrilled to see what David L. Rainer Elementary School now has in store for them. A great year is to come, and now so many individuals get to now call the freshly renovated school their home. Go Tigers!
