Fifth-grade students in Ms. Tillman’s class at Mary Lee Clark Elementary School created models of plant and animal cells using edible materials 🍪🌱. A graham cracker represented the plant cell, with frosting for cytoplasm and sprinkles for ribosomes 🎉, while a sugar cookie depicted the animal cell, decorated with candies for organelles 🍬. This hands-on project met science standards by helping students identify and label cell parts 🧬, fostering understanding of plant and animal cell structures 🌍.
