🍎🍏 Kingsland Elementary School Lions had an apple-tastic week! Last week, our students dived into the world of apples and learned all about Johnny Appleseed’s incredible contributions to apple orchards. They had a blast tasting different varieties of apples and even charted their favorites. The excitement didn’t stop there! Our young scientists made predictions on whether apples would sink or float and tested their hypotheses. To top it all off, they enjoyed a fun-filled session of bobbing for apples! 🍎🍏 #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #KESLions #AppleFun #JohnnyAppleseed #LearningIsFun #ElementaryEducation

🔒 October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month! 🔒 Did you know that cyber threats are constantly evolving? It's crucial to stay informed and vigilant to protect your personal and professional information. Here are some tips to enhance your cybersecurity: Update Your Software Regularly: Ensure all your devices and applications are up-to-date. Software updates often include important security patches that protect against vulnerabilities. Use Strong, Unique Passwords: Avoid using easily guessable passwords. Use a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters, and consider using a password manager to keep track of them. Enable Two-Factor Authentication: Add an extra layer of security to your accounts by enabling two-factor authentication. This requires a second form of verification beyond just your password. Be Wary of Phishing Scams: Always double-check the sender's email address and be cautious of clicking on links or downloading attachments from unknown sources. Back Up Your Data: Regularly back up your important files and data to an external hard drive or cloud service. This can save you in case of a ransomware attack or other data loss incidents. Let's make this October a month of increased awareness and proactive steps towards a safer digital world. Stay cyber safe! 💻🔐 #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth #StaySafeOnline #DigitalSecurity

Dr. Colgrove's third-grade class at Crooked River Elementary recently explored "Dear Primo," a heartwarming story of two cousins sharing their lives through letters. Inspired by the book, the students made their own papalotes (kites) using newspaper. Rainy weather couldn't dampen their spirits; they used a fan to fly their kites indoors! The kids had a blast, proving that a little creativity can turn a rainy day into an unforgettable learning adventure. Great job, third graders! 🌧️🪁📚 #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #TheRiver #CRESDolphins
