Fifth-grade students in Ms. Tillman’s class at Mary Lee Clark Elementary School created models of plant and animal cells using edible materials 🍪🌱. A graham cracker represented the plant cell, with frosting for cytoplasm and sprinkles for ribosomes 🎉, while a sugar cookie depicted the animal cell, decorated with candies for organelles 🍬. This hands-on project met science standards by helping students identify and label cell parts 🧬, fostering understanding of plant and animal cell structures 🌍. The activity encouraged critical thinking and creativity in learning about cell functions 💡🎨! #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #MLCESMarlins

Uniquely You in Life Science! 🔍🖐️ In 7th grade Life Science, students in Mrs. McGraw’s classes at St. Marys Middle School discovered how truly unique they are! By comparing their fingerprints to those of their classmates and the national average, they learned that no two fingerprints are exactly alike. 🤯✨ Sure, they made a bit of a mess, but they had a blast doing it! 🎉🧪 Learning is always more fun when you get your hands a little dirty. Great job, future scientists! 🔬👩‍🔬👨‍🔬 #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #SMMSBobcats

🧪🌿Mr. Tracey’s fourth grade science class at Matilda Harris Elementary School delved into the fascinating world of producers, consumers, and the flow of energy through food webs/chains by creating a human food web in class! 🕸️ This hands-on activity helped our young scientists understand the intricate connections in nature. 👩‍🔬📚 It was amazing to see how energy travels from plants to animals and beyond! 🌱🐛🦅 Great job, budding ecologists! We can't wait to see what you discover next! 🔍 #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #MHESJaguars

🌊 Dive Into Creativity with Mrs. Zipf's Class! 🎨 Mrs. Zipf's students at Mary Lee Clark Elementary are making waves by studying ocean animals and the effects of plastic pollution. 🌎 They crafted beautiful art sculptures inspired by the Washed Ashore Exhibit, turning trash into treasure. 🐚♻️ Through this project, they learned about ocean challenges and the power of art for advocacy. These young artists remind us of the importance of preserving our planet for future generations. Let's celebrate their creativity and commitment to a cleaner Earth! 🌿🌊 #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #MLCESMarlins
