Attention Camden Families:
There is an increased presence of law enforcement at our schools as a precautionary measure. If you notice more officers on campus, please know that this does not necessarily indicate a problem.
Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Rest assured, we will always communicate promptly if there is ever a threat to our school community. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

📚✨ Problem Solving in Camden County Schools: A Step-by-Step Guide! 🌟
At Camden County Schools, we believe in addressing issues promptly and effectively. Here's the process to ensure your concerns are heard and resolved:
🔹 Step 1: Teacher/Staff Member Closest to the Situation
Start by discussing the issue with the teacher or staff member who is directly involved. They are often the best equipped to provide immediate solutions or clarifications.
🔹 Step 2: School Administrator/Division Supervisor
If the problem isn't resolved, the next step is to contact the school administrator or division supervisor. They can offer additional support and resources to help address the concern.
🔹 Step 3: Central Office Administrator
Should the issue persist, reach out to a central office administrator. They have a broader perspective and can coordinate with various departments to find a resolution.
🔹 Step 4: Superintendent
For more complex issues, the Superintendent is available to provide higher-level intervention and ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed.
🔹 Step 5: Board of Education
As a last resort, you can bring the concern to the Board of Education. They oversee the entire school district and can make decisions on policy changes or other significant actions.
We are committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for our students, staff, and community. Your voice matters, and we're here to help every step of the way! 💬🤝

🌟 Setting SMART Goals for Success at Mary Lee Clark Elementary School! 🌟
Writing SMART goals can be a fantastic way to help students set and achieve objectives. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Mrs. Kimbro’s 1st grade challenge class wrote their SMART goals for the school year, and they're ready for an exciting journey of learning and growth! 📚✨
An example SMART Goal for a First Grader:
Specific: I want to read more books.
Measurable: I will read one new book each week.
Achievable: I will read 10 pages every day.
Relevant: I love stories about animals, so I will choose animal books.
Time-bound: I will start this goal on Monday and keep going until the end of the school year.
By breaking goals down into these components, first graders can have a clearer path to achieving them and can feel a sense of accomplishment as they track their progress. 🌈✅
Let’s cheer on Mrs. Kimbro’s 1st graders as they work towards their goals! 🎉📖

Camden County Families,
We are deeply saddened by the tragic events at Apalachee High School in Barrow County this week and continue to extend our thoughts and prayers to all those affected.
Sadly, some have taken advantage of this grief to spread fear through social media posts targeting schools in Camden County and across Georgia. While we have received numerous reports of alleged school threats and threatening social media posts, there are currently no known credible threats against any CCS schools. Despite this, we take every threat seriously, and investigations are ongoing with support from local law enforcement agencies.
Already, a 14-year-old has been issued a summons for contributing to these threats in Camden County. We must work together to prevent more unlawful behavior and consequences like these. To that end, I ask that all families actively monitor their children’s behavior and online activity. Again, any threat, regardless of where they are made – whether on school grounds, off campus, or on social media – will be taken seriously. Each threat will be thoroughly investigated, and if credible, the person responsible will face the maximum criminal consequences.
These simple steps can make all the difference:
Check their backpack and belongings.
Familiarize yourself with their social media accounts.
Monitor their electronic device usage and browser history.
Encourage them to report any suspicious activity to you and school officials.
Discuss the severe consequences of making threats, even as a joke.
Ensure firearms and ammunition are appropriately secured and inaccessible.
Review the Student Code of Conduct with them.
As always, our top priority is the safety and well-being of each of our students—your children. This is a responsibility we take very seriously. It’s important for you to know help is available through our schools. Please contact your child’s school if you need more information, support, or resources.
Sincerely,
Camden County Schools

🌸 Happy Grandparents Day! 🌸
To the ones who fill our lives with love, laughter, and wisdom, today is all about you. Your stories, your hugs, and your unwavering support mean the world to us. Thank you for being a guiding light in our lives and for all the cherished memories.
Share a special moment with your grandparents today and remind them just how much they mean to you. ❤️
