🌊Mrs. Carter’s 5th grade class at St. Marys Elementary is embarking on an exciting journey in their Exploration unit! They've been learning all about the ecological importance of phytoplankton and how these tiny creatures adapt to changes in the ocean. 🌍🌿 Recently, they discovered how studying Harmful Algae Blooms can guide us in protecting wildlife. To top it off, Mr. Larry Dixon joined them for a fascinating squid dissection, showing how these creatures start life as tiny zooplankton. 🎃Mrs. Moore and Ms. Meier's kindergarten classroom at Crooked River Elementary School recently celebrated Pumpkin Day! 🧡 The students had a blast with a variety of pumpkin investigation activities. They explored whether pumpkins sink or float, measured their pumpkins, counted the number of lines, and described the pumpkins they brought from home. 🎈 The little chefs also made pumpkin pie in a bag 🥧 and enjoyed a relay race featuring marshmallow pumpkin candy! 🍬 To top it all off, the class created a graph to see who liked the taste of pumpkin seeds and who did not. 📊 A fantastic time learning about pumpkins was had by all! 🌟 #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #CRESDolphins #TheRiver #PumpkinDay
