Brooke Loden, the 2026 Miss Georgia Agriculture and Agriculture Teacher at Camden Middle School, had the wonderful opportunity to visit the kindergarten students at Matilda Harris Elementary School!

During her visit, Brooke shared her published children’s book, Spots’ Fantastic Day on the Farm, with the students and introduced them to a few of her special animal friends, including Princess the Rabbit and Mushu the Bearded Dragon.

The students loved listening to the story and were excited to have the opportunity to get up close, ask questions, and learn about animals they may not encounter every day. Experiences like these help bring agriculture to life for young students and encourage curiosity about the important role agriculture plays in our everyday lives!

Brooke is proud to continue promoting agricultural education and her Youth in Ag platform by connecting with students in Camden County and across Georgia.

Our Camden County High School scientists put elements to the test during the Flame Test Lab!

By heating unknown samples, students watched electrons get "excited" and jump energy levels. As they cooled back to their ground state, they released photons—creating a brilliant spectrum of unique colors. Since every element leaves its own distinct light "fingerprint," our chemical detectives matched the fiery colors to solve the mystery!
